Boxycharm July 2018 Review

There’s nothing more exciting than getting presents and surprises every month. At least that’s how I look at my beauty subscriptions. It’s like having a birthday every month. Yay! My favorite all time beauty box has to be hands down Boxycharm.

Boxycharm is a beauty subscription box that gives you 4-5 full size products from well known brands like Tarte, Colourpop, Dr.Brandt, and many others for only $21 dollars a month. A box that has a retail value of over $100. Now that is a steal!!! It’s the perfect way to try great makeup brands and products to see what best suits you. You also have the possibility of getting that one product you’ve been eyeing for a minute now. At least that’s what’s happened to me. It’s so much fun to see what great goodies you could be receiving every month. The box also includes a little pamphlet describing the products in the box and the retail price. So let’s go ahead and get into July’s box whose theme is all about Roadtrippin.

Chella Beauty Eyebrow Cream:

This eyebrow cream has to be one of my favorite brow products that has made it’s way into my beauty boxes. It’s a double ended brow cream with one being the cream and the other a built in brush. The brush helps define your brows to perfection. The formula is creamy and has a velvet feel to it, the brush makes blending easy, and it’s long lasting. For me this was a must because I will say, I can create a killer eye look but I’ll be up front and honest my brows are my weakest point. So the guidance of this brush and the formula being so smooth works really well with me. I tried it on this past week and absolutely loved it. The Chella Beauty Eyebrow Cream retails for $26. That right there pays for your box for the month.

Wander Beauty Unlashed Volume And Curl Mascara:

I love mascara’s. So when I see a mascara in any of my boxes, I get excited to try them. Wander Beauty’s unlashed volume and curl mascara made it’s way into my Boxycharm for this month and after giving it a try, I was a little disappointed in how it worked for me. This mascara claims that it strengthens, volumizes, lengthens, and conditions your lashes. For me, I didn’t get that volumizing feel. I don’t know how to explain this but I love mascaras that have the darkest shade and that make your lashes look like you’re wearing falsies and this one just didn’t do it for me. Maybe for you it could work but it just wasn’t my favorite. It retails for $24.

Dr. Brandt No More Baggage Eye De-Puffing Gel:

I can’t begin to tell you how many eye gels I get in my boxes a month, so I wasn’t surprised when I saw the Dr. Brandt no more baggage eye de-puffing gel in my box. This eye gel helps with under eye bags and dark circles. It’s perfect for when you have those crying sessions on why Johnny picked Camilla over you. Yeah, let’s hope that doesn’t happen but if it does, it’s there to help. Also for when you didn’t have that good nights rest and you wake up with severe under eye baggage, we all go through that too and of course for those who actually struggle with this on a daily basis and have tried everything to help. I recommend it. I think it works very well and if you’ve tried everything and nothing seems to work, give this product a try. It’s a little on the pricey side but works magic. Retails for $42.

Note Cosmetics Luminous Silk Compact Blusher:

This 3-in-1 blush compact is fire!!! If there was ever a product that could come in clutch at the right time it would be this one. So when I opened this blush, I didn’t realize that there was another compartment hiding a brush to apply the blush. My excitement was at 100%. I was thrilled! The formula felt smooth and applied nicely. It has this nice scent to it. Kind of reminded me of when I was a kid and my mom had this one blush that smelled so good. It brought me back to that time as a little girl watching her apply her blush. It’s the perfect product to put in your makeup bag on the go. For someone whose not as crazy about blushes, this one definitely made me think otherwise. What’s even better about this blush is that it retails for an awesome bargain at $11.99. Three in one, I’ll take that!

Crown Brush Fuego Eyeshadow Collection:

Now I have to admit, when I first saw this palette as a spoiler on My Subscription Addiction on Instagram I wasn’t impressed. I felt like it seemed so bland and boring. Boy was I wrong! When I opened this palette up, I was shocked at how beautiful the shades were. This warm toned palette is perfect for your everyday glam. It includes 6 matte shades and 4 shimmer shades. The pigment on these shadows were uh-maz-ing! It blended well for me. I’m pretty impressed after all. The only product that I had ever tried from the brand Crown was their brushes which I happened to really like. This palette turned out to be a gem and the price is pretty good too. Retails for $29.99

So there you have it. A box that totaled exactly $133.98 and all you paid was $21.00. If that isn’t a deal than I don’t know what is. My final thoughts on this month’s box are I think it was great. I have received better boxes and that’s not to say that this one was bad but I’ve had some others where I was like WOWWWWWW!! My favorites were the Chella Eye Brow Cream, the Crown Brush Eyeshadow Palette, and the Note Cosmetics Blush. If you haven’t signed up for Boxycharm yet, I recommend you do. It’s possibly the BEST makeup box subscription out there and if you don’t know, right now there is NO WAIT LIST! So take advantage because sometimes it can take months before you can actually get off the wait list. I will leave a link down below to get your monthly beauty fix going. Stay tuned for reviews to come.
